NIRN Implementation Research: Wake County Public Schools

Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) Accountability and Evaluation department is seeking support for a comprehensive implementation study of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) in the district. With funding support from the Laura and John Arnold Foundation, WCPSS is planning on evaluating the impact of MTSS on student outcomes and evaluating the presence and strength of implementation activities necessary to achieve the impact. The National Implementation Research Network (NIRN) will provide technical assistance to WCPSS in conducting the MTSS implementation evaluation. The TA will consist of providing training and coaching on the Drivers Best Practices Assessment and the Observational Tool for Instructional Supports and Systems (OTISS). In addition, follow up coaching and co-administration supports on the assessments’ administration will be provided. Consultation and coaching will also occur on analysis design and use of the data for action planning in conjunction with other evaluation data sources.
