Promoting the Use of Evidence-Based Practices for Children and Youth With Autism Spectrum Disorders and Their Families in Saudi ArabiaThe NPDC will work with professionals from the Centre for Autism Research in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to establish and promote the provision of high quality programs and the use of evidence-based practices for learners with ASD and their families. The contract will support intensive didactic and site-based professional development in the United States and regular follow up and site visit in Saudi Arabia.
This project is designed to provide a statewide evaluation of the NC Pre-K Program. The primary research questions addressed include who is served by the NC Pre-K Program, what are the characteristics and quality of services provided, and what are the outcomes for children attending the program. Data are gathered from multiple sources including classroom observations, teacher surveys, child assessments, and monthly program reports.
Through the Vermont FirstSchool Partnership, FirstSchool staff at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will help educators in Vermont make substantial gains in understanding and implementing the content and process of the FirstSchool approach to transforming PreK-3rd grade.
