Alison Gunn, MPH, serves as an evaluation specialist for the Center for IDEA Early Childhood Data Systems (DaSy Center) and on the Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center (ECTA). She works to evaluate the Technical Assistance services and products provided across all states and territories served by IDEA. Trained as a public health researcher, Alison uses program planning, implementation, and evaluation skills to design robust evaluation plans that accurately capture the impact of the Centers' work for dissemination, reporting to funders, and for continuous quality improvement. She is proficient in SAS, SPSS, EpiInfo, Atlas Ti, Survey Monkey, Qualtrics, and MS Office.

Previously, Alison has worked as a project manager for UNC's Translational and Clinical Sciences Center, designing and delivering capacity-building technical assistance curricula focused on community-based participatory research. In that capacity, she relied on implementation science principles to assist in translating research findings into practice. Alison has also worked as a successful grant-writer, manuscript writer, and middle-school teacher.
