Gary Harmon, PhD, is a Technical Assistance Specialist with the Center for IDEA Early Childhood Data Systems (DaSy) within the Trohanis Technical Assistance (TA) Projects at the FPG-CDI at UNC-CH. He works with states to develop and improve data systems for Part C and Part B 619 state programs, including assisting with data governance needs of states.

He previously served as a state Part C Data Manager where he was responsible for oversight of all data reporting for federal and state grants for children with disabilities. He served as the team leader for the State Systemic Improvement Plan, as well as overseeing evaluation activities to ensure compliance with federal regulations related to data collection. He has worked on Electronic Health Record implementation and management as well as collaborating on the development of a state Early Childhood Integrated Data System (ECIDS).
