STEM Innovation for Inclusion in Early Education Center (STEMIE)

This project's purpose is to develop and enhance the knowledge on the practices and supports necessary to improve access and participation within STEM learning opportunities for young children with disabilities.

The Center's expected outcomes include:

  • increased body of knowledge of current evidence-based practices for STEM learning;
  • increased use of STEM evidence-based practices by early childhood programs, providers, and families to promote access and participation for young children with disabilities; and
  • increased awareness by faculty in IHEs of STEM learning for young children with disabilities and increased focus and integration of early STEM evidence-based practices into IHE programs of study.
