Essential Skills for Early Intervention Practitioners

Families of children with disabilities play a central role in interventions. And practitioners need certain skills and knowledge to work effectively with them. This Snapshot sheds light on the expansion of practitioners' roles, the importance of family-centered approaches to intervention, and practitioner skills--including positive communication--that result in successful intervention.
