Committed to delivering early intervention services in a family-centered way, Jessica Amsbary, PhD, is leading a new project, “Empowering Culturally Diverse Families in Early Autism Intervention for Toddlers.” Amsbary, a technical assistance specialist at the UNC Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute (FPG), is collaborating with Jessica Kinard, PhD CCC-SLP. The project will be part of and complement the current modules of the Autism Focused Intervention Resources and Modules (AFIRM).

Tamara Robertson, MPH, CHES® is a child welfare support specialist with the Implementation Capacity for Triple P (ICTP) projects within the Impact Center at UNC Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute (FPG). She also fills the role of Division of Social Services (DSS) Triple P coordinator within the NC Triple P System and works closely with Triple P leaders in the DSS within the NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

The Early Childhood Technical Assistance (ECTA) Center at the UNC Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute (FPG) is excited to announce its implementation of a distributed leadership model. The leadership team was inspired by a report from the Building Movement Project, Structuring Leadership: Alternative Models for Distributing Power and Decision-Making in Nonprofit Organizations.

Kindergarten is a foundational year in a child’s education, providing a bridge from early childhood experiences to the early grades. While kindergarten is an important time for young children to learn and practice a variety of skills, there has been little focus on this stage of education. To address this, a team from FPG launched a one-year project, Kindergarten Sturdy Bridge, in September 2023.
