Instructional Design Services

• Identification of learning objectives and associated measures of effectiveness
• Design and development of appropriate lesson plans
• Identification and construction of related instructional tools (modules, role plays, videos, job aids, performance support)
• Learner experience planning, including process development to accommodate group dynamics

• Instructor materials: coaching or classroom
• Design and development of interactive learner activities, such as workshops, role plays
• Design and development of static learner materials, such as worksheets, guides, programs

Both elearning and onsite lessons, with additional development of instructor and learner materials allowing customized/tailored instruction according to the strengths and weaknesses assessed through online modules

FPG AI Services is a collaboration drawing on the expertise of the Instructional Design team and IT Services to provide web-based AI applications. We expect to leverage FPG's infrastructure in combination with campus’s offerings like the AI Acceleration Program to create cutting edge tools that will make grant applications more competitive. Potential functions include AI-powered personalized support tools that are grounded in curated knowledge bases, virtual conversations (such as coaching supports), and rapid prototyping for co-design and iterative development. This is a developing service, and through the combined efforts of multiple people at FPG and UNC ITS, we hope to navigate an ever-changing landscape of technology/service changes, security challenges, and privacy matters.
