Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., worked tirelessly throughout his life to achieve social justice, equality, and opportunity for all. As we commemorate the Martin Luther King Jr., holiday on Monday, Jan. 21, let us use this as an opportunity to re-commit ourselves as citizens to helping create the world that he spoke of.

The UNC Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute is building on Dr. King's legacy through our work addressing disparities, inclusion, and access to services from birth through early adulthood. We are dedicated to these causes. Much still remains to be done to fulfill his dream, but we strive every day in our work to make a difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.

We honor Dr. King's service, leadership, and vision.
