Georgia Licensing and Monitoring Study

The purpose of this project is to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of Georgia’s regulatory process for licensing center-based child care programs and family child care homes. Project activities will include review of existing documents, databases and reports from Georgia; review of 5 other states’ licensing procedures; interviews with supervisors; and focus groups with licensing staff. The goal of the project is to generate knowledge that will strengthen Georgia’s regulatory process.
