NextGen: Supporting the Next Generation of Interdisciplinary Researchers

This grant provides support for a second-year graduate student in the Developmental Psychology program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This support will be used to further the development of the student’s expertise in the field of cognitive developmental psychology, with a focus on attention and other aspects of executive function, via coursework and training in neurobiological literature and methods. The student will then be able to design and conduct cutting-edge research related to the typical developmental course of the effective deployment of attention in children, and its modifiability through behavioral and nutritional interventions.
