Rhode Island BrightStars Evaluation

This project is a multi-year evaluation of BrightStars, Rhode Island’s quality rating and improvement system. BrightStars was created to improve the care and education of infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children in Rhode Island. FPG helped field test the initial BrightStars frameworks for centers, family child care homes, and school-age programs. FPG has also conducted statewide studies of quality to help Rhode Island leaders better understand the quality of early childhood education in their state.
