This presentation highlights the major dilemmas facing the implementaton of prevention science in actual human service settings. The principles and major frameworks from Applied Implementation Science are reviewed and discussed for their value in addressing these dilemmas. The presentation was delivered by invitation to the NINR/NIH-Funded R13 Conference "Advancing Transdisciplinary Translation for Prevention of High-Risk Behaviors: Critical Thinking to Overcome Individual and Institutional Barriers" in Washington, DC.
