From the introduction: "In 2015, the US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) concluded that the evidence was insufficient to assess the balance of benefits and harms of screening for speech and language delay and disorders in children 5 years or younger (I statement). The purpose of the current systematic review was to update the previous evidence review on the benefits and harms of screening for speech and language delay and disorders in children to inform the USPSTF in updating its recommendation.
