UNC Friday Center/Virtual

As one of the world’s premier educational opportunities for anyone involved in the care and education of young children with disabilities (birth to age 8) in inclusive settings, the Institute has drawn people from across the nation and around the world to Chapel Hill to:

  • develop collaborative relationships and cross-agency systems that support early childhood inclusion;
  • discover evidence-based practices, resources, and tools for promoting opportunities for inclusion; and
  • meet, learn from, and problem-solve with peers.

Honoring Our 25 Year History—Reflecting, Celebrating, and Advancing

As we look back over the past 25 years, we celebrate the progress we’ve made in creating more inclusive environments where all children can thrive. This reflection allows us to recognize the voices and experiences of children with disabilities and their families, highlighting the contributions of individuals with disabilities, families, practitioners, policymakers, and many other leaders in the field who have worked tirelessly.

Looking ahead, we are reminded of the importance of continuing to advance our efforts at different levels of the system to ensure every child with disabilities belongs and has equitable opportunities to learn, grow, and participate. Together, we can foster a future where every child’s potential is recognized and valued.
