Supporting Innovative MTSS

Area(s) of Work: K-12 Education

This collaborative project with Michigan’s MTSS Technical Assistance Center (MiMTSS) aims to develop blended learning (pairing data captured from eLearning and/or other activities with onsite training) to support Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS) within Michigan Public School Systems.

To achieve the goal of creating a multi-level blended learning program to provide support for MTSS within state public schools, FPG will:

  • Work with MiMTSS staff to need to determine goals of professional development
  • Delineate measurable learning objectives, in collaboration with MiMTSS’s Subject Matter Expert (SME),
  • Develop documented learning strategies for two levels of support:
    • MiMTSS implementation specialist support for district coordinators
    • District coordinator support for schools within each district
  • Identify and develop learner activity data collection methods via eLearning or direct input, with the goal of utilizing data for tailoring onsite lessons,
  • Develop onsite lesson plans complete with personalization/customization instructions (utilizing learner activity data) in collaboration with SME, and
  • Develop evaluative measure/s of training effectiveness in collaboration with SME
  • Develop animated videos to enliven online didactic material within eLearning modules, and
  • Design and develop up to four xAPI/LRS-compatible eLearning products (each approximately 30 minutes)
