Biographical Statement 

Torica Exume, PhD, who earned her doctorate from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, has a diverse background in working with individuals with various mental health disorders, spanning ages 1 to 60. As a dedicated researcher and leader in the field, she co-leads multiple research projects, serves on national boards, and is an Applied Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) verified instructor. She also holds the role of vice president for the Council for Exceptional Children Division for Emotional and Behavioral Health - Florida Chapter (CEC DEBH-FL). Her expertise encompasses autism spectrum conditions, community-partnered participatory research, collaboration with first responders, dissemination and implementation of evidence-based practices, outcome measures, and addressing racial and ethnic disparities. With a strong commitment to improving the lives of autistic children, Exume applies her extensive education and hands-on experience to enhance communication, social interactions, analysis and treatment of repetitive behavior disorders, and safety skills.
