Teresa Taylor, M.Ed., is an Intervention Specialist based with the Targeted Reading Intervention team at FPG. Teresa works as a Targeted Reading Intervention literacy coach for early elementary school teachers throughout the state. Teresa helps to lead and plan teacher training institutes. Teresa is the lead assessment specialist for the Targeted Reading Intervention team. She also helps train assessors for other research projects including the Early Learning Network and Family Life Project. Teresa has previously worked as a preschool teacher, special education interventionist, elementary school teacher, and instructional facilitator in Orange and Durham Public Schools. Her areas of interest include literacy coaching, Tier 2 reading instruction, assessment practices and professional development training.
