Area(s) of Work: Child Welfare

Through a partnership with the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the National Implementation Research Network (NIRN) will support implementation capacity building with Casey priority projects including placed-based work to improve outcomes for youth and young adults (YYA initiative), Family First Prevention Services Act, Decision Aid Tool Practice Profile, and Connect. NIRN will develop implementation science tools and resources through the lens of racial and ethnic equity and inclusion including Action Guides and Equitable Implementation Tools. NIRN will advance and disseminate content on equitable implementation and host a series of implementation science convenings focused on implementation practice.

Previous partnership activities include: developing an implementation learning strategy for the Evidence-Based Practice Group (EBPG); conducting implementation team meetings with Casey projects ($tand by Me, LEAP 2.0, Results Count, Child Welfare Strategy Group); drafting the Steps to Success Action Guides; coaching NJ Department of Children and Families on using the Blueprint for Evidence Use to support the selection and implementation of a serviced array aligned with the Family First Prevention Services Act; initiating planning for an implementation science convening; and supporting integration of Racial and Ethnic Equity and Inclusion (REEI) activities and implementation science.
