Vermont Early Childhood Consultant

The purposes of this project are to: (1) develop and adopt a set of state guiding principles on inclusion; (2) develop an early childhood practitioner resource ‘toolkit’ on evidence-based practices and resources that is aligned with Vermont’s Early MTSS Program Inventory and Division of Early Childhood Recommended Practices; (3) review and edit current versions of Vermont’s Moving On and Moving On Up booklets to promote cohesion across the two documents and to incorporate an emphasis on culturally, linguistically and ability diverseness and; (4) support the design, development, delivery and evaluation of professional development on the newly revised Vermont Early Learning Standards (VELS), including a master class for higher education faculty and professional development providers on effective way to incorporate the VELS in their ongoing work within the broader context of developmentally, culturally, linguistically and individually appropriate services and supports.
