Each year, as part of their Part C annual performance report, states are required to report to the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education (OSEP) on the percent of families participating in Part C who report that early intervention services have helped the family know their rights, effectively communicate their children's needs, and help their children develop and learn. Approaches to data collection vary across states, including survey used, scoring methodologies, and distribution and collection methods. This document summarizes the analyses of FFY 2012 family data submitted by states to OSEP.
