Reaching Consensus on a Definition of Professional Development for the Early Childhood Field

In this article, published in Topics in Early Childhood Special Education, a definition and framework for early childhood professional development are proposed, and a systematic review process used for validating the definition is described. The importance of a shared vision for professional development in early childhood is discussed.
