This session focused on the methods states are using to measure quality in the settings serving young children who are culturally, linguistically, and ability diverse. Attention was focused on what we can (and can’t) learn from those instruments. New ways of looking at child outcomes and early childhood environments were presented, including options for using current measures in new ways to achieve a more intentional emphasis on issues related to diversity.
