From the publisher: "Early childhood experts agree that expulsion is not an effective behavior management strategy. Nevertheless, thousands of children, primarily boys and Black, Latine, and Native American children, are permanently removed from preschools each year. This special issue seeks to advance our understanding of effective practices and policies and innovative approaches that eliminate the use of exclusion and disproportionality in discipline and which support children in early learning environments (school- and community-based preschool, center- and home-based childcare, etc.)"
