This report details findings from the qualitative component of the Triple P Implementation Evaluation (TPIE). Following the mainly quantitative TPIE evaluation period in 2014 and 2015, evaluators returned to Cabarrus and Mecklenburg counties, NC in early 2016 to collect and analyze qualitative data from key partners involved in supporting the scale-up of the Triple P - Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) system of interventions. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with Cabarrus and Mecklenburg county (i.e., lead agency) implementation teams, service agency leaders and implementation support staff within Cabarrus and Mecklenburg Triple P coalitions, Triple P America, and Triple P support staff within the North Carolina Division of Public Health. Interview questions mainly pertained to four domains:
Face validity of the TPIE quantitative evaluation findings,
Context factors that may have facilitated or hindered Triple P implementation during the original evaluation period,
Key decision points that may have shaped each county's Triple P implementation during the original evaluation period, and
The ways in which system partners had been the most helpful and how they could be more helpful supporting Triple P implementation and scale-up.
