Trohanis Technical Assistance Projects

The Trohanis Technical Assistance (TA) Projects group at FPG is dedicated to improving the availability and quality of services, and ensuring optimal outcomes, for very young children with, or at risk for, disabilities and their families. We assist states and local agencies that provide early intervention and early childhood special education to implement evidence-based practices, develop and manage effective and efficient systems of services, coordinate inter-agency programs, develop data systems, and improve data quality to improve services and outcomes for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers and their families. Trohanis TA Projects honors the legacy of Pascal "Pat" Trohanis who directed a series of national and state early childhood technical assistance centers and projects from 1971 until his death in 2007. For almost 50 years his projects and those that have followed have been based on values and guiding principles that evolved from his leadership. The current TA centers and projects are national, regional, state-wide, and local.
